What makes our Canvas so good?

Canvas is a very difficult thing to define!

Unfortunately over time, more and more fabrics have been coined Canvas as it's always been regarded for strength and ruggedness, especially in Australia.

Moondyne rates all our own Canvas fabrics using three simple policies: Waterproofness, Breathability and Strength. This method has been used extensively over the past 6 years to develop and constantly improve our two proprietary Canvas fabrics: DyneRib and DynePro Canvas products.

See, it is fairly easy to get a heavy base material to be waterproof using a full coating over the fabric. Problem is, if you coat it, the breathability instantly becomes non-existant. This isn't really what you want with a Swag, being that if you're asleep all night, the morning will be met with condensation throughout the inside. No one wants to wake up with water everywhere! You would also be very surprised at the number of Swags available today which use this archaic technology.

So! This is where our R&D Team have used proofed fabrics that have a compound which impregnates the entire fabric, though without totally sealing it away to stop the breathability. This allows water vapour (condensation) to easily get out of the Swag, whilst stopping any nasty Water Droplets from getting in.

The way the Canvas is weaved with certain materials also contributes to the quality. We only use tremendously strong Poly/Cotton blended materials when constructing our Swags. This ensures that the Swag will outlast you in the Australian great outdoors and remain in your favourite Camping kit for years.

We use our own overseas proprietary factory to produce the Canvas which guarantees quality!

So anyway, challenge yourself to find another Swag manufacturer to demonstrate their commitment to selecting and using Canvas that performs like Moondyne.
